I have a room that's always too hot or too cold

Everyone seems to have that trouble room that is never as comfortable as the rest of the home. That room can be costing you a dramatic increase in you energy bills. Many air-conditioners are old and need to be replaced, but how do you know until a qualified professional test it to see if the system is working properly. Most AC Contractors recommend replacement without testing your system to know for sure. We have been trained by the National Comfort Institute to test and evaluate how efficiently a system operates. We can also recommend what needs to be done to bring your system up to within 90+% of it maximum efficiency.

A typical “Home Inspection” does not use scientific testing to evaluate your home from an energy consumption perspective. We are training and certified to do Total Home Energy Audits. Tests we perform on your home.

Home Leak Test:

Complete home system test of how much air is leaving or coming into your home. How “leaky” is my home. You are paying to heat and cool your home. Is this expensive air leaking out? We identify all leaks in your home through scientific testing. You will have an action plan and a budget to fix these costly problems, along with a referral list of our respected contractors to serve your needs.

Duct Flow Test and Inspection:

This inspection will totally test every aspect of your duct system. This system is like your arteries and veins in your body. Just like in your body, if they are not operating properly they can cause major energy problems. This test will give you’re the exact cause of your duct problems and how to fix them, along with a referral list of our respected contractors to serve your needs.

Air-Conditioning Efficiency Test:

This test is certified by the National Comfort Institute. It tests the exact percentage of efficiency a Heating/Air-Conditioning system is operating at. As an example most systems operate at only 57% efficiency. This is do to improper design (having the wrong system for your home), maintenance, or system damage. Most systems can be brought up to over 90% efficiency with out replacing them. We give you this efficiency rating and an action plan to fix your system, along with a referral list of our respected contractors to serve your needs.

Infared Camera Energy Loss Testing:

Only an infared camera can look into walls and building cavities to see if any energy is being lost. All temperature differences will be exposed by the infared test. These pictures of every home in your house and attic will be in our report with our recommendations to improve these trouble spots.

Total Home Energy Rating:

This test is a government certified total home test. It is referred to as a HERS rating. We measure every energy consuming system in the home and put it in our special computer program for analysis. This gives you a rating which is used in the Energy Star, Building America, and all tax credit programs from the government. The certificate also shows how much energy your home will consume in one year. This is an invaluable tool in selling your home or evaluating improvements by the dollar. Along with our experience we can recommend an action plan that uses your dollars for the most efficient improvements to invest in.

Energy Systems Inspection:

This is an inspection of your systems using our experience. Visually we inspect your home for energy losses and solutions. This is the least scientific testing we do, but it is also the least investment. Sometimes this is all that is needed to solve your problem and offer energy efficient solutions.

Total Home Energy Audit:

This combines all of the testing above and offers the most comprehensive testing and scientific evaluation of your existing home. All systems are tested and entered into our energy audit program. Detailed reports are generated with an action plan to invest in. The items on the action plan are presented with the energy savings and comfort effectiveness from implementing the plan. We will retest after every energy improvement to insure your improvements are getting the results you need.
